Lessons Learned
“Lessons Learned” during this project:
We knew that when we called our CD, “Lesson’s Learned”, the number one question most people would have for us would be “What lessons did you learn?”
So we decided to compile a list of things we learned throughout the writing and recording of this project for anyone who is the least bit curious.
We Learned:
1. That there’s no place like home.
2. That Karen makes the best sandwiches
3. That sometimes going where PC is the night before giving a vocal performance is a good thing
4. That we have the greatest friends in the world
5. To never underestimate the influence of a gummy bear
6. To do whatever it takes and go wherever we need to, to arrive at what really makes us happy
7. That everything has a way of working itself out
8. How to let go
9. That negativity of any kind doesn’t help a situation
10. To never put off to tomorrow what you can do today- especially where family is concerned
11. That you can, in fact, drive from Tennessee to North Sydney, NS in three days (We wouldn’t recommend it though)
12. To never take a second of this for granted
13. That the dance of joy can be a form of payment
14. That Maureen gets emotional watching Karen finishing a 10 mile run
15. That sometimes you just need a little more triangle
16. That we always knew the way home – we just took the long way for a little more experience
17. That Maureen trusts Karen completely except where Facebook is concerned
18. That ENNIS has extremely loyal fans
19. How to get on the same page…(I don’t mean my Facebook page, Karen)
20. That every action we take has a consequence, good or bad
21. That Billy Sutton has a good memory
22. That Mark Murphy is deathly allergic to blueberries even if they’re hidden in a party size pack of Tim Bits
23. That complaining wastes valuable solution time
24. That Newfoundland influenced folk music is what we love to play!!!
